DIDN'T ORDER HARVEST DROP, BUT WANT TOO?

Hello Friends!

We want to send a huge thank you for ordering this week's Harvest Drop. Your commitment to local, regenerative farming helps sustain our mission to bring fresh, vibrant produce straight from our fields to your kitchen. Every bag represents the hard work that goes into nurturing the soil, promoting biodiversity, and creating a more resilient food system. We couldn’t do it without you!

This week’s Harvest Drop is packed with some incredible seasonal produce, and we’ve crafted a quick recipe for each item to help you enjoy every bite. Let’s dive in!

What’s Inside Your Harvest Drop & How to Use It:

  1. Okra: Quick Pan-Fried OkraSlice your okra into thin rounds, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and pan-fry for 5-7 minutes until crispy. Perfect as a snack or side!

  2. Radish: Radish Butter ToastThinly slice your radishes and spread softened butter on toasted sourdough. Top with radishes, a sprinkle of flaky salt, and fresh parsley for an easy, elegant snack.

  3. Spring Salad Mix: Simple Vinaigrette SaladToss the spring salad mix with a quick vinaigrette made from olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Add sliced radishes or green onions for extra crunch!

  4. Summer Squash: Grilled Summer SquashSlice your squash lengthwise, brush with olive oil, and grill on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side. Finish with a squeeze of lemon and fresh parsley.

  5. Green Onion: Green Onion Stir-FryCut green onions into 2-inch pieces and stir-fry in a hot pan with sesame oil and soy sauce. Use as a topping for rice or alongside grilled meats.

  6. Eggplant: Roasted Eggplant DipRoast halved eggplants at 400°F for 25 minutes, scoop out the flesh, and blend with garlic, lemon juice, tahini, and olive oil for a smooth, smoky dip.

  7. Purple Sweet Potato: Mashed Purple Sweet PotatoBoil or steam sweet potatoes until tender, then mash with butter, a splash of milk, and a pinch of cinnamon for a vibrant, sweet side dish.

  8. Basil: Basil PestoBlend fresh basil with garlic, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and pine nuts or sunflower seeds to make a quick pesto. Toss with pasta or spread on sandwiches.

  9. Parsley: Chimichurri SauceFinely chop parsley, garlic, and a hot pepper, then mix with olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over grilled meats or roasted veggies.

  10. Hot Pepper: Spicy Pepper RelishMince the pepper and mix with vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let it marinate for a few hours to create a zesty relish that pairs well with grilled dishes or sandwiches.

  11. Microgreens: Use your microgreens as a raw garnish on everything you cook/prepare. Our favorite things to use microgreens on include: all egg dishes (omelettes, scrambles...) toast, sandwiches, tacos, rice bowls, soups, medleys... Microgreens are 9x more rich in vitamins and nutrients than their fully grown counterparts so including a little in every meal is a great way to ensure you're getting massive amounts of health benefits!

We hope these simple recipes inspire you to get creative in the kitchen this week. Your support helps keep local farming alive, and we’re thrilled to be able to share the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor with you.
